Quick! The Buyers Agent just called and their client wants to see your house in a half hour! The following are some tips for showing your home in the best manner:
- Clean up unnecessary items such as magazines, mail, toys, clothes, etc.
- Turn on all lights, in every room and closet
- Open all drapes, shades and blinds
- Make the beds
- Put away children’s toys
- Put dirty clothes in the washer
- Put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher
- Remove any ashtrays and tobacco
- Keep pets out of sight as pet people will be distracted and non-pet people could leave the home without seeing it in entirety
- Turn on jazz or classical music
- Brew coffee or bake a quick breakfast cake for a warm, inviting smell
- Turn on the gas fireplace
